ANN reports that The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi film will open in theaters in Spring 2010. It will be based on the fourth book in the light novel series by Nagaru Tanigawa.

ICv2 interviews Kurt Hassler, where Kurt confirms that Yen folding into Orbit is an “internal organizational change” which should not affect the public. Yen Press will not be sporting the Orbit logo and everything will pretty much continue on as normal.

Hachette Press is consolidating its Yen Press (manga and graphic novels) and Orbit (SF & Fantasy) imprints. Co-Publishing Director Rich Johnson will be leaving the company in October, but otherwise internal shakeups (as far as the public eye is aware) seem minimal.
